Spell Words With Flickr

I found this website thanks to a post by Ozir.

Just type in the word you want to spell with pictures and let the website do the work. If you dont like the picture it chose, just click the letter and it will find a new one for you. Check out what I made:

Get Free Music From Amazon

Amazon is now giving away free music downloads on their site. I'm not sure why they are doing this, but they are. As of now they have about 200 songs of all genres on the site to download. They are supposed to update the list every 6 hours, so keep checking back for more music.

AudioBlogger ROX!

Now you can add audio posts to your Blogger blog FREE. Just sign up for AudioBlogger and follow the steps. Its so easy. Now, even if you don't have access to a computer or internet, you can call from any phone and leave an audio post. It's kinda like leaving a message on a answering machine. Sweet! It feels a little awkward at 1st, but after a while it won't be so bad. Check out my 1st audio post.

Now, even when I go out of town I'll be able to keep my blog up to date. This is going to be cool.
Let me know if any of you guys try out this feature.

Compare Google and Yahoo

This cool site compares Google's results with Yahoo's based on the order of the different results. It puts the info in a nice little, um, "dot-chart-thing", ya.

Pretty cool. Check it out.

HEY, HOW'D YOU GET HERE!!!

Well, how did you get here? I know, do you? HaHa, I'm just playing around. You may have noticed the new feature in the left column of the site. I put a line of javascript in my code and it automaticaly links to the site that you were refered from. Cool huh. If you want to put this on your own site just use this code.

< script language="Javascript" src="http://www.truefresco.org/referrers.js">< /script>

You must remove the space between the "< script" at the start of the code, and remove the space between the "< /script" at the end of the code.
Blogger wouldnt let me publish it with these tags as part of the other code. If you have questions about what to do, leave me a comment.

Thats it. My counter also tracks who refered you as well as other cool info (ip, browser, os, language, and more.) Check it out.

Now Playing

Ever wonder how people get the song they are currently listening to to show up on their blog? Well, chances are they are using one of these iTunes plug-ins.

1. Now Playing (Windows)
2. Now Playing (Mac)
3. Kung-Tunes (Mac)

I think that all of the plug-ins work, however, I think that the order I have them in is the order of best to worst (I am just guessing because I haven't tested any of them)

These plug-ins upload a file to a server that contains the current song/artist/etc. I would use one of these plug-ins, but since I'm using Blogger's servers I can't ftp the file to the server. If you are hosting your blog somewhere that lets you use ftp these plug-ins should work for you.

Hope this helps

Thumb Drive

Most people have heard of thumb drives. You know, those little portable flash memory devices that hold a bunch of data. Well, some one fianally got the clever idea to make a real thumb drive. Ya, its a flash drive inside of a prosthetic thumb. Cool!

iTunes Link Maker

With the iTunes Link Maker you can link to certian songs from your blog or website and have them open up in iTunes. Here is an example:

My Favorites (Well, one of each type)

Artist
Jimmy Eat World

Album
Futures

Song
The World You Love

It's that easy. It will work with Mac or PC just as long as they have iTunes. I think I might use this to link to some of my favorite stuff. Keep your eyes open for it.

Yahoo! 360 Invitations

In case you haven't heard, Yahoo! has added a new feature. It's called Yahoo! 360. What is Yahoo! 360? Its a service that allows the user to post pics, make a blog, and connect to friends. I just started the service so I'm not sure how I'll end up liking it, but at least for now its fun to play with. Yahoo! 360 is in beta(testing) right now, so you have to be invited to join. I happen to have about 100 invites to give away. If you want to try out Yahoo! 360 and need an invite post a comment or email me.

Invites will go on a first come first serve basis. (Unless I'm bribed...) This things are like Gmail invites used to be. Get one while they last.

Enjoy Yahoo! 360

Make a custom HTML button

I just got through making a custom button for MacSpot. Making a custom button for a website or blog is easy with the 80x15 Brilliant Button Maker. Just pick a few colors, text, and pictures and there you go, you have a custom button. It only took me about 5 min to make this one

Hope you have fun making buttons. If you make one and want me to post it on here email me the pic.

Yagoohoogle

Now you can search Yahoo and Google all from one page using Yagoohoogle. It will give you a "split-screen" view of the searches, great for comparing search engines. Now, you might say "I use Dogpile. Doesn't this do the same thing?" No, Dogpile lumps in a bunch of other search engines that don't really give you any thing you need. You end up wasting time looking at stuff you don't need. All you need is Google and Yahoo (in that order) and now with Yagoohoogle you can have them.

UPDATE: Another search engine I really like is SearchThe4. It not only searches Google and Yahoo, but also MSN and AskJeeves. I love the fact that when you scroll one of the "split screen" windows it scrolls the other 4. Its much easier to keep track of where you are on the page.

My only complaints are that when you click a link it opens in the tiny little window, not full screen. As long as you can right click and open in a new tab/window, this may be the search engine for you, especially if you are doing research or need a ton of relevant results fast.
